Acknowledgement of Country
The Commonwealth Grants Commission recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We acknowledge their continuing spiritual, cultural, social, and economic connection to Australia’s lands and waters.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our RAP
At the Commonwealth Grants Commission staff are committed to ensuring that, as an organisation and as individuals, we contribute positively to reconciliation.
As we embark on our RAP journey, we commit to building relationships, respect, and opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
Our Reflect RAP sets out steps to prepare us for reconciliation initiatives in future RAPs.
It involves scoping and developing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, deciding on our vision for reconciliation and exploring our sphere of influence.
