Mr Jonathan Rollings
Mr Jonathan Rollings was appointed as Secretary of the Commonwealth Grants Commission from 8 February 2021.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Rollings worked with the Commonwealth Treasury for over twenty years. In this time, Mr Rollings held a range of senior leadership roles, including as head of divisions responsible for Budget Policy, Commonwealth-State Relations and Foreign Investment.
Mr Rollings holds a Commerce degree from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Taxation from the University of New South Wales.
Assistant Secretary
Ms Rose Verspaandonk
Ms Rose Verspaandonk has been an Assistant Secretary at the Commonwealth Grants Commission since November 2020.
Ms Verspaandonk has previously led analysis, policy advice and program delivery across small business, labour markets, workers’ compensation, income support, human capital and GST policy.
Ms Verspaandonk holds an Honours degree in Economics and a Masters degree in political science, both from Monash University.
Assistant Secretary
Ms Therese Maher
Ms Therese Maher joined the Commonwealth Grants Commission in September 2021.Ms Maher oversees revenue, health and community service assessments.
Ms Maher has extensive public sector experience at the Commonwealth and state level across the finance, health, education, training, and industry portfolios.
Ms Maher has led reforms to non‑government school funding, policy innovation through multi-agency data integration projects, and worked closely with the automotive manufacturing sector during a challenging time on support for workers.
Ms Maher holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Demography from the Australian National University.
