Commission Secretariat - Structure

The Secretariat of the Commission is headed by a Secretary, supported by two Branch Heads. The Secretariat provides effective support to the Commonwealth Grants Commission as it responds to its terms of reference. The Secretariat consults with stakeholders, collects and assesses data, and undertakes research to prepare recommendations and draft reports. Commission Organisation Structure

The current organisational structure of the Commonwealth Grants Commission. Chairperson, Alan Henderson AM. Members, Glenn Appleyard, Greg Smith, Patricia Faulkner, Jennifer Menzies and Jeff Petchey. Secretary, John Spasojevic. Assistant Secretary, Branch A, Dermot Doherty. Branch A sections are Revenue, Education and Justice, Health Welfare and Housing, Business Manager, and Senior Analyst. Assistant Secretary, Branch B, Catherine Hull. Branch B sections are Transport and Utilities, Demography, Capital and Private Trading Enterprises, and Data Management. The Corporate Services section reports direct to the Secretary.
